THE CREW

Every garden needs a little help with maintenance.  BDWoo also has a lot of space to cover in our back yard. Some people would call this child labor but I think that since they are family we are off the hook.

In the Jennings family, it has become a rite of passage to ride Grandpa Woo's mower with him. They like to ride and they like to "drive" behind the wheel. It can put the kids in a great mood or it can put them to sleep. It's all good.

                                                                Logan and Greyson

                                                                         Emma

Aylah   (wow has she grown up!)

Sometimes Grandpa Woo and Bo need a break.

Kids like to dig. Dig for bones, Dig for rocks.Dig for potatoes  Dig for anything.

When the parents are out of town, the grandkids pay the price.

Bo likes to help too. This was from last year; he couldn't find his way back out of the garden!

                                                               Kids like to harvest too.

                                                              Picking cherry tomatoes.

And raspberries.

And finally, PUMPKINS!

Hey wait! That's not a pumpkin!!

Soon the smaller pie pumpkins, Winter Luxury, will be pureed and frozen for future use. The                      Howden pumpkins ( jack o' lanterns ) will be carved and the seeds baked for snacks

We celebrated Aunt Kitty's Birthday at our pumpkin patch. We wish Emma had been here with us too!

We have a rain barrel started and also a compost bin. They should both be ready for use in the spring!

THE SHELVES

I will still be canning black beans, pinto beans, garbanzo beans and baked beans but none of them from my garden.  Next year........

Hope you enjoyed checking my garden and everything that became of it!
